    A Hare Grows in Manhattan Bugs Bunny Animation Drawing by Virgil Ross (Warner Brothers, 1947). "Dere I was... trapped!" says Bugs Bunny as a Beverly Hills movie star to local gossip columnist, Lola Beverly. This scene is from the Friz Freleng-directed short, A Hare Grows in Manhattan, released on 3/22/47. In the cartoon, Bugs Bunny is a movie star telling his life story of growing up in the lower east side of Manhattan. This is an outstanding 12 field, 2-peghole animation drawing of Bugs as a movie star. You can see this image around the 2:16 mark. His dialogue is written in red pencil on drawing. Great image in graphite with blue and red highlights measuring 5". The drawing was done by animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). He has hand-signed the drawing and a signed letter of authenticity is included in the lot. The number 9 is written in bottom right corner. Minor handling and edge wear. Overall condition is Very Good.
