DescriptionA Fight to the Finish Painted Production Background Art Group of 2 (Terrytoons, 1947). Mighty Mouse spars with Oil Can Harry in this classic short, which was directed by Connie Rasinski and released on 11/14/47. Here's a pair of original hand-painted 12 field (13" x 9.75") production backgrounds, each painted in gouache/watercolor with airbrushed highlights on skimmed illustration board. The first is listed as 16 in the upper margin, and it's a dream-like landscape of exceptional quality, one of the finest Terrytoons backgrounds we've seen to date. Find the cartoon online; you can see this at the 1:50 mark, as Harry makes his getaway with Pearl Pureheart in his long, snake-like car (note: the colors are much brighter and vibrant than seen online). The second background is noted as 53, and looks down at the stairs Mighty Mouse and Oil Can Harry climb as they fight with swords; it's seen at the 4:44 mark. Condition is Very Good with minor handling and edge wear.
