DescriptionA Bug's Life Flik and Rosie Storyboard Original Art (Pixar, 1998). Inspired by the familiar narrative of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, Pixar's second feature-length installment A Bug's Life tells the story of an oppressed society of ants and the bug warriors they seek out to defend them. In a delightful twist of the genre, the warriors are circus performers with no idea what they're getting into. This is incredibly rare production art from the making of this fully digital film: an original storyboard drawing featuring early designs of Flik and Rosie by the hand of artist Jorgen Klubien. Rendered in conte on 10" x 5.5" animation paper, this piece is signed in the lower right corner and shows very little handling and edge wear. There are pinholes in the upper corners indicating use in the storyboarding process of the film, and the condition is Very Good.
