    "Wood's Cove" by Peter Ellenshaw (1963). Presented in this lot is an outstanding seascape titled, "Wood's Cove" by Peter Ellenshaw (1913 – 2007). Born in London, Peter Ellenshaw's artistic career has spanned more than seven decades. Considered the chief master of marine and landscape painting of his generation, Ellenshaw was an acclaimed Hollywood matte painter and visual effects artist. With over 50 films to his credit he would take home an Oscar for his work on Mary Poppins at the 37th Annual Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects. "Woods Cove" was rendered on 24" x 16" stretched canvas and framed to 32" x 24". Frame sold as-is. The piece is hand-signed in paint by the artist. Fine condition.
