    Description

"The Mystery Gang" Scooby-Doo Model Sheet Limited Edition Cel AP #29/50 (Hanna-Barbera/Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Character design drawings by Iwao Takamoto were used as a background for this hand-painted production cel. The entire Mystery Gang is here -- dapper Fred, brainy Velma, Scooby-Doo (of course!), snack-loving Shaggy, and sweet Daphne. The painted figures have a combined image size of 9.15" x 6". The cel was produced by Clampett Studio for Warner Brothers Studio Stores in a tiny edition of 250, but this is an even rarer Artist's Proof, with only 50 pieces (of which this is #29). Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006) hand-signed the cel, and to add the cherry on top, the graphite and blue pencil drawing of Scooby at top center is an original Iwao Takamoto hand-drawn signed remarque (the rest are expertly printed). Matted with an opening of 16.5" x 13.5", framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 23.5" x 20.5". Fine condition.
