"The Art of Wile E. Coyote" Painting by Chuck Jones (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). This is a rare one-of-a-kind Chuck Jones painting of Wile E. Coyote in one of his classic Acme setups to catch the Road Runner. Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) first brought the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote to the screen on 9/17/49 in the cartoon short Fast and Furry-ous. He said he drew inspiration for the character from Mark Twain's book Roughing It. Twain described the Coyote as "a long slim and skinny looking skeleton that is a living breathing allegory of want. He is always hungry." The painting was created using graphite and gouache on 15" x 11" deckled edge, Fine Art paper. The artwork is hand-signed by Chuck Jones. The image measures 13" long and is in a Plexiglas-front frame of 26" x 22" with a mat opening of 16" x 12". A Letter of Authenticity from Linda Jones Enterprises is on the back of the painting. Frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
