    Description

"The Art of Robert Clampett" In-Studio Gag Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1930s-40s). Bob Clampett (1913 - 1984) began his Warner Brothers career months shy of graduating high school. He worked there for 15 years and directed 84 cartoons. He is credited with the initial designs of Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, and Tweety Bird. This is a great in-studio gag/caricature drawing attributed to the hand of Bob Clampett; it looks a little bit like Hawley Pratt to us. Great image of a coworker, with a size of 8". Art is in graphite and colored pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. "There'll always be an England" is the title. Minor handling and edge wear. In Very Good condition.
