"The Art of Looney Tunes" Studio Model Sheets Group of 8 (Warner Brothers, c. 1950s-60s). This lot is a pure piece of Looney Tunes history: a series of eight 1950s and '60s Warner Brothers Character model sheet prints. Model sheets are important documents in the studio's animation process. They are quality control documents to ensure continuity of the characters in a cartoon. Warner Brothers model sheet prints are considered very tough to find, as the studio employee number was much lower than many rival studios. Warner Brothers Studio model sheets are extensively shown in the book That's All Folks - The Art of Warner Brothers Animation by Steve Schneider. Many of these studio model sheets were created from artwork by the hands of Chuck Jones and Robert McKimson! The lot includes model sheets for Petunia Pig, Kitten from Feed the Kitty (1952), Frisky Puppy and Claude Cat from Terrier Stricken (1952), Speedy Gonzales from his first appearance in Cat Tails for Two (1953) as well as a 1960 Speedy Gonzales model sheet. The lot also includes circa 1960 model sheets for Sylvester the Cat, Daffy Duck, and Pepé Le Pew. Model sheet sizes are 10" x 9" (4) and 14" x 10" (3) and one 14" x 8.5". Minor handling and edge wear. In Very Good condition.
