"The Art of Hanna-Barbera" Promotional Illustration (Hanna-Barbera, 1969/70). This single piece encapsulates the entire Hanna-Barbera catalog from 1969 - 1970. This is an original pen and ink illustration by studio artist Jack Manning (1920 - 1981) created for an ad promoting Hanna-Barbera's Saturday morning cartoon line-up. Included in this pen and ink rendering are some of the studio's hardest to find characters. Shows represented include The Banana Splits, Josie and the Pussycats, Penelope Pitstop, and Dick Dastardly and Muttley with the Yankee Doodle Pigeon The artwork is on illustration board measuring 20" x 14". This a remarkable one-of-a-kind piece from the personal collection of a longtime studio executive. The piece shows minor handling wear; otherwise condition is Very Good.
