"The Art of Chuck Jones and Bugs Bunny" - A Connecticut Rabbit in King Arthur's Court Animation Drawing and Special Academy Award Sericel (Warner Brothers, 1978/1989). Chuck Jones and Bugs Bunny have a relationship that goes back many years, all the way back to Elmer's Pet Rabbit in 1941 (1940 if you want to count the Bugs prototype in Elmer's Candid Camera). Here are two Chuck Jones-related items. First is an original trimmed animation drawing of Bugs from Chuck's 1978 feature film A Connecticut Rabbit in King Arthur's Court. Art is in graphite over blue pencil with a full figure size of 8". The drawing is signed by Mr. Jones and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Next is a rare special sericel card featuring Bugs. In 1996, Robin Williams presented Chuck Jones with an Honorary Academy Award, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, this 1989 sericel of Bugs (from his 50th anniversary) was included in an 8" x 8" card. About 200 were made and given to Chuck's staff, VIPs at Warner Brothers, and other friends (Robin probably received one as well), but never sold to the public. The drawing is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear; the sericel is in Fine condition.
