"Speechless" Mel Blanc Tribute 2-Page Print (Warner Brothers, 1989). On July 10, 1989, the Warner Brothers animation family lost its best-known voice artist when Mel Blanc passed away. Mel had been the longtime voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin the Martian, Pepe LePew, Wile E. Coyote, Speedy Gonzales, the Tasmanian Devil, and many other cartoon characters (including several from other studios, like Barney Rubble on The Flintstones), from 1937 on. Here is the classic 2-page ad Warners ran in Variety, characterized by Bugs and crew bowing their heads at a spotlighted vacant microphone. The two pages have been nicely matted together in a double aperture mat, with opening sizes of 7.5" x 10:, framed with glass for an overall size of 25.5" x 19.5". Slightly sunstruck; otherwise in Fine condition.
