"Opening Night" Bugs Bunny and Friends Al Hirschfeld Limited Edition Lithograph #217/300 (Warner Brothers, 1994). The first Warner Brothers Studio Store opened in 1991. It was a virtual cartoon adult toy store. They had a Master Artist Art Program, and one of the artist selected to do their interpretation of the Looney Tunes characters was "The Line King" -- Mr. Al Hirschfeld. Al Hirschfeld (1903 - 2003) was the dean of show business caricatures. He did a series of five Bugs Bunny and Friends Fine Art Lithographs for the Warner Brothers Store. This is "Opening Night," featuring a theater premiere being attended by Bugs Bunny (with a date), Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, Porky Pig, and Yosemite Sam (holding a Broadway Playbill!). This Fine Art lithograph was an edition of only 350 and this is 217. It is hand-signed by the artist in graphite as HIRSCHFELD. This piece was an immediate sell out 25 years ago. Although not noted with a number by his signature, we think there's probably a "Nina" or two hidden within the details! Matted with an opening of 16" x 14", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 25" x 24". Frame is sold as-is. Print condition is Fine.
