"Mistress Masham's Repose" Large Concept Illustration (Walt Disney, 1984). Here's a fantastic piece of original art for a project that never quite made it to full production status. Joe Hale pitched this idea for a feature film to Roy Disney, based on a 1946 book by T.H. White, the same author as The Sword in the Stone. The book was about a little girl who finds Lilliputians in Northamptonshire, England right after World War II. It was said Roy Disney was enthusiastic about this project, but Michael Eisner was not. Joe Hale had Andreas Deja do preliminary pitch/concept artwork for this film project, and we believe this is one of his pieces. It's magnificent, an unsigned oversized "pitch piece" in ink and gray wash on paper measuring 25" x 18.75". There's an edge tear along the right side, and some handling wear, but we believe it will look great matted and framed! Good condition.
