    Description

"For Scent-imental Reasons" Pepé Le Pew and Penelope Pussycat Original Watercolor by Chuck Jones (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). "Oh no! You know it's possible to be too attractive" says Pepé Le Pew at the end of this Academy Award winning short. It was the fifth Chuck Jones directed Pepé Le Pew short, and first to win this award. This short, written by Mike Maltese, was released on 11/12/49 and starred Pepé Le Pew and Penelope Pussycat. This is a rare one-of-a-kind Chuck Jones original watercolor painting of Pepé and Penelope (aka Kitty); It was inspired by the ending scene from this short, after they have fallen out of a window, and Pepé has fallen in a bucket of blue paint. The tables are turned, and Penelope starts to pursue a not-interested Pepé! Great image sizes of 7". This important painting is hand-signed by animation legend and the director of the original short, Mr. Chuck Jones (1912-2002). Ornately framed with Plexiglas, with a mat opening of 16" x 12" and overall size of 23.5" x 19.5". A Linda Jones Letter of Authenticity is included on back of the frame. Fine condition.
