"Drag Strip" Bugs Bunny Sericel (Warner Brothers/Chuck Jones Productions, 2000). In classic Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons, Bugs Bunny often resorts to dressing in women's clothing to fool whomever is chasing him at the moment. Here's a great hand-pulled pan sericel of Bugs in several of his more famous drag outfits from various Chuck Jones-directed shorts: as Little Bo Peep (Super-Rabbit, 1943); as a blonde with long curls (Bowery Bugs, 1949); as a bobby-soxer asking for an autograph (Long-Haired Hare, 1949); as an opera singer in a long green dress (Rabbit of Seville, 1950); as a Lana Turner-type "sweater girl" (Rabbit Seasoning, 1952); as Brunnhilde (What's Opera, Doc?, 1957); and as Buttercup, a coy mermaid (From Hare to Eternity, 1996). The pan cel measures 33" x 13.5", placed on a blue print background. Noted as "Directed by Chuck Jones" in the lower right, with a Linda Jones seal in the lower left. A Linda Jones Enterprises Certification is included. Fine condition.
