Description
Richard Sala Violenzia And Other Deadly Amusements Cover Original Art (Fantagraphics Books, 2015). Richard Sala is renowned for macabre and pulp-inflected narratives that blend B-movie horror and crime conventions with a distinctive visual wit, all epitomized by his recurring heroine Violenzia, who embodies the artist's darkly playful sensibility. The red watercolor stain along the right side of the artwork perfectly represents this. The heroine is rendered in ink and watercolor on Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 13.25". Signed.
