Description
Will Eisner, Klaus Nordling and James Dixon The Spirit Section "Khyber Bill" Story Page 2 Original Art (Register & Tribune Syndicate, 1951). The stories from the early 1950s represent a fully mature phase of Eisner's work, marked by strong graphic experimentation. This magnificent page displays many of Eisner's hallmark traits and his artistic supervision, evident for example in the ironic and grotesque facial expressions. The artwork is executed in ink on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". There are traces of whiteout and production tape; the original is toned with handling wear.
