ACA ARTWORK
LOT 32009
Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers - Original Art from Fantastic Four #14, Page 17 (Marvel, 1962). The FF springs into action and Namor gets all wrapped up in the stretchy limbs of Mr. Fantastic. Meanwhile, Sue is menaced by quite a large octopus. Outstanding artwork from very early in the run, it’s no wonder this was proclaimed “the Greatest Comic Magazine in the World!” 14” x 21.5”.

LOT 32030
Unknown Artist - Original Cover Art to Pep (Archie, early ‘60s). Not sure of the artist or the exact issue, but still a fabulous image of Archie’s two best girls being observed by extraterrestrials. 16” x 23”.

LOT 32010
Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers - Original Art for The Fantastic Four #14, page 2 (Marvel, 1963). A nice half-splash depicting the media frenzy generated by the Fantastic Four’s triumphant return to earth, after defeating the Red Ghost on the Moon. Apparently Reed Richards and crew actually beat Neil Armstrong by over six years, a little known-fact has escaped historians for far too long. Kirby’s strong layouts come into play in this superb page, and the final panel is as nice a portrait of the entire team as seen in any of these early issues. Art is in perfect condition and measures 12.5” x 18.5”.
