Heritage Comics Hits 100,000 Mark!

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Comics Auctions (HCA) is proud to announce that they have sold 100,000 items at auction since their inception in July, 2001.

"This number includes comic books, original art, movie posters, and entertainment memorabilia sold in our Signature and Amazing Comics Auctions over the last several years," said John Petty, Director of Auctions for HCA. "It's quite a milestone, and one that we're very proud of. I can't think of another collectibles outlet that has offered so much quality merchandise to their customers in such a short period of time."

The item that put HCA over the 100,000 mark was Lot #17846 in ACA sale #14112, which closed on November 21, 2004, a copy of Popular Comics #25 from the collection of Larry Doucet.

"This was part of Larry's landmark collection of Dick Tracy memorabilia," said Ed Jaster, HCA's Director of Acquisitions. "Already recognized as the premiere collection of Tracy material, it's fitting that it should be one of these books that put us over the top. I'm sure Larry will be pleased."

"As we move into new collectible areas," continued Petty, "people can expect even more exciting offerings from Heritage. We're just getting started!"

HCA's next Signature Auction will be held February 11-12 in their Dallas, Texas offices, and will feature the Richard and Wendy Pini Collection of Original Art, as well as the first part of the Northern Lights Collection of high-grade Golden and Silver Age comic books.
