Synopsis: Superman creates an alternate timeline where Superman, Jr. and Batman, Jr. can explore crimefighting without ramifications. In this timeline, the boys put an end to the mob boss of Sparta City, with some unexpected help.

Notes: Batman returns as featured co-star with this issue. The Super-Sons appear in these issues: 216, 221-2, 224, 228, 231, 233, 238, making a final appearance in their own feature in 242. Their existence as computer simulations is referred to in The Superman Family (DC, 1974 series) #192, and their storyline is brought to a conclusion in World's Finest Comics (DC, 1941 series) #263. The wives of Superman and Batman appear in this story, but their identities are not made clear. A pair of stories featuring an unrelated Superman, Jr. and Batman, Jr. appeared before this story in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #391-392. There was also an unrelated pair of imaginary stories in World's Finest Comics #154 and 157 featuring the "Sons of Superman and Batman."
