COVER DETAILS
Pencils: Ross Andru
Inks: Mike Esposito
Letters: Ira Schnapp
Notes: Andru and Esposito credits per Nick Caputo, with Keith Chandler also agreeing to Esposito inks via the GCD Error Tracker. We previously credited the art to Irv Novick, and before that Andru and Esposito. Cover has Wonder Woman incorrectly referring to her homeland as "Amazon Island" instead of "Paradise Island."
STORY DETAILS
Characters: Queen Hippolyta; Lura (Amazon); Wonder Woman [Diana Prince]; Mermen (Villains)
Synopsis: After Queen Hippolyta goes missing during a swim off the coast of Paradise Island, Wonder Woman is reluctant to assume the throne until she learns what has become of her mother.
Pages: 10.000
Script: Robert Kanigher [as Charles Moulton] (credited)
Pencils: Harry Peter
Notes: Here the Mermen are called the Amazons' ancient enemies, although later stories show friendly relations between the two nations. We for a time credited the inks on this story to Kurt Schaffenberger per an error report from Saltarella. However, all involved in a discussion on the GCD-Main list agreed it was not Schaffenberger, though it was also not Harry Peter as we originally had either.
