STORY DETAILS
Characters: Janie Morgan; Dane Baxter; Floyd Talbot; Mr. Talbot; Mr. Carsone
Synopsis: Floyd gives Janie a job at his father's firm because he wants to date her. Janie is quickly promoted. She dates Floyd only to keep her job. The elder Talbot dies and Janie becomes very possessive of the firm. She hires and falls in love with a handsome drifter named Dane Baxter. Floyd presses her to quit and marry him but she becomes a partner in the firm by effecting a merger with another trucking company and can now do what she wants. She declares her love for Dane and tells Floyd she doesn't love him. Dane walks out on her. Janie rebuilds the business then leaves it to search for Dane.
