Title: [Part I] The Flaming Doom!

Characters: Colonel Henry Casper; Dr. Will Magnus; Metal Men [Platinum [Tina]; Gold; Lead; Iron; Mercury; Tin] (introduction); flying manta ray; Amos J. Talbot

Synopsis: In prehistoric times, a flying manta ray survives a "radioactive storm" and is encased in ice. Today, it breaks free and soars over the coast, zapping lighthouses, jets, and the Chrysler Building with laser-eyes. The Joint Chiefs send Col. Casper to Dr. Will Magnus's vast laboratory complex. Magnus dances with a platinum robot - who talks! To fight the "creature", Magnus creates five more robots: Gold, Lead, Iron, Mercury, and Tin. "Meet the Metal Men!" A UHF TV shows the creature tearing up a cable bridge. "We're going to battle it!"

Title: Part II: The Metal Men vs The Flaming Doom!

Characters: Metal Men [Platinum [Tina]; Gold; Lead; Iron; Mercury; Tin]; Dr. Will Magnus; Col. Henry Casper

Synopsis: The Metal MEN are going into battle, but Tina will stay "out of harm's way". Oh, no, she won't, and spins Doc in a cocoon until he relents. Boarding a "rocket disc", they find the flying manta at the bridge. After some thought, Doc has Iron compress Lead into a ball, then coat it with Tin for hardness. Iron hurls it, the manta bats it back, and the rocket disc plummets and crashes on a rooftop. As the creature circles, Tin, thinking he "failed" leaps in the path of the deadly eye beams and is shredded!

Title: Part III: The Metal Men vs The Flaming Doom!

Characters: Metal Men [Platinum [Tina]; Gold; Lead; Iron; Mercury; Tin]; Dr. Will Magnus; Col. Henry Casper

Synopsis: Lead forms a shield to block the creature's blasting eyebeams. Gold stretches and grabs while Iron anchors him, but they're pulled aloft to crash into the ocean. Col. Casper radios to call it off, they failed. Magnus: "There are still three of us left! We're still attacking!" Soaring in the rocket disc, Mercury smothers the manta, Platinum spins a web, and Lead adds weight. The creature crashes and sinks in the ocean, dead. But so are the Metal Men. As Doc holds models of the MM, Caspar asks the audience to drop a card to Metal Men c/o National Periodical Pub.
