Synopsis: Mike tells Tory he’s breaking their engagement because he loves Ginny. Tory fears the humiliation of being jilted, so Mike agrees to marry her, then have the marriage annulled. Ginny’s boyfriend Craig and Tory conspire to break Ginny’s spell on Mike by making Ginny and Mike jealous. It works, and Mike and Tory will have a real marriage from now on.

Synopsis: Diana and Dakin are a husband-and-wife team of radio writers. Diana gets a Hollywood job offer but Dakin does not; he says she can go but “while you’re in California you’d better get a divorce.” Diana becomes successful but misses her husband and comes home after 4 months. Dakin plans to marry Lita, but when Diana claims she’s a failure, Dakin drops Lita and tells Diana “I’ll take care of you.” Diana confesses her lie and Dakin says he knew it, but he still wants to reconcile with his wife.

Synopsis: Marcia has been operating a lighthouse since her father’s death; she’s engaged to Coast Guardsman Jeff but prefers the peace and solitude of the island to bright lights and society on the mainland. Replacement lighthouse keeper Hal and Marcia are trapped in the lighthouse together by a storm and Jeff is jealous. Marcia discovers Jeff has been cheating on her: she decides to marry Hal and stay on the island.

Synopsis: Sharon is the secretary to elderly Mrs. Southworth, and plans to marry her employer's nephew Sydney, even though his touch does “creepy, unpleasant things” to her. Chauffeur Tim disapproves. Sharon learns Mrs. Southworth has lost her fortune and Sydney won’t help her. Sharon discovers Sydney has embezzled his aunt’s money; Tim and Sharon convince him to return the cash. Sharon and Tim will be married and serve as Mrs. Southworth’s cook and handyman until she dies, at which time they’ll inherit her fortune.
