STORY DETAILS
Characters: Patsy Walker; Hedy Wolfe; Nancy Brown; Ma Carter; Buzz Baxter
Synopsis: After many months Patsy discovers the missing Buzz enlisted to fight in Vietnam and has returned home to recuperate from injuries. Patsy is filled with remorse for having doubted his love and dated in his absence. Buzz acts oddly and refuses to see Patsy while Hedy discovers Buzz's overseas letters which were delayed in the mail. Patsy visits Buzz in the hospital but he is distant. He comes to dinner informing Patsy he has fallen out of love and their relationship is over. In confidence he informs Patsy's friends that he wants to spare Patsy the pain of caring for a crippled man.
