Synopsis: First part of a three-part book-length story. Ice Cream Soldier tells the tale of how Sgt. Rock, partly paralyzed and stuck in rising tide, lost his nerve but still managed to save Easy Company by shooting a German tank with an anti-tank grenade.

Synopsis: Little Sure-Shot relates how Rock and resistance fighter Fifi blew up a German tank. Bulldozer relates how he and Rock blew up a German machine-gun nest with help from a sad-eyed dog who then tagged along with Sergeant Rock. Sad-Eyes was killed by a strafing German fighter plane. Rock eventually finds the plane and shoots it down, at last moved to tears.
