Synopsis: Gary promises his dying mother that he’ll marry their neighbour Adele, who has always been in love with him. When Sylvia says she and Gary love each other, Adele refuses to release Gary from his vow. However, when she realises Gary would never be happy as her husband, Adele decides to give him up so he can marry Sylvia.

Synopsis: Steve and Ella are engaged, but when she overspends their budget and puts them in debt to furnish their apartment, he becomes angry and tells her to return the items. She refuses and they break up. However, Ella’s parents discuss the early days of their marriage and how they scrimped and saved for the future, but were happy nonetheless. Ella apologises to Steve and says their home will "be filled with love!”

"They expect to be treated like people with important jobs to do...not like weak lilies!"
