STORY DETAILS
Characters: Spider-Man [Peter Parker]; Ned Leeds; Gwen Stacy Clone; J. Jonah Jameson; Robbie Robertson; Betty Leeds; Mary Jane Watson; The Jackal [Professor Miles Warren] (villain); Spider-Man Clone (villain); Tarantula (villain)
Synopsis: Spidey and Ned have been captured by the Jackal who tells of how a professor was so affected by the death of one of his favorite students that he became a super villain. The Jackal tells of how he cloned Gwen Stacy to bring her back into his life. As Spidey races to rescue Ned from a bomb, he is forced to battle a clone of himself. Warren is berated by Gwen's clone and comes to his senses, sacrificing himself to save Ned's life. Warren and the Spider-Man clone are apparently killed. Gwendy's clone tells Peter that she wants to leave the past in the past and takes off to start a new life.
