STORY DETAILS

Title: The Day of the Defenders!

Characters: Defenders [Hulk; Doctor Strange; Namor, the Sub-Mariner] (introduction, origin); Wong; Yandroth (villain, death); Omegatron (introduction); Silver Surfer

Synopsis: The Defenders must stop Yandroth from destroying the Earth with the Omegatron.

Notes: Previous adventures involving the characters together in Dr. Strange #183, Sub-Mariner #22 and Incredible Hulk #126 and Sub-Mariner #34-35 are mentioned. Strange states that he also meant to recruit Thor. As noted inside, the story takes place after the Dr. Strange feature at the end. Strange invokes the Hosts of Hoggoth, the Vishanti, the Omnipotent Oshtur, the Vipers of Valtorr, the Demons of Denak, the Supreme Satannish. This story establishes the Hulk's ability to see astral forms.
