Pencils: Moe Gollub (painting)

Notes: Tarzan vs. lion (painting). Cover pencil, ink, & color credits from Ken Webber (December 17, 2003). Richard Richmond says this is a Gollub cover. The muscle development of the Tarzan figure is a dead giveaway as to which artist did this painting. Gollub was a body builder and a wrestler and he was an expert when it came to drawing and painting muscle patterns on humans.
STORY DETAILS
Characters: Tarzan [John Clayton]; Alexander MacWhirtle; Kodon; Zugu
Synopsis: Tarzan and Dr. MacWhirtle go to Pal-ul-don to collect gryf eggs. Tarzan in captured by the warriors of Jalur who are planning war with Alur. In his escape, Tarzan takes the king of Jalur with him and heads for Alur.
