Geller responds with a letter with six brief references saying his paranormal powers are not tricks: H. Puthoff, Ph.D. and Russel Targ, Stanford Research Institute; Wilbur Franklin, Ph.D, Kent State University; John Hasted, Ph.D., Birkbeck College, University of London; John G. Taylor, Ph.D., King's College, University of London; Artur Zorka, Society of American Magicians, Atlanta, Ga.; and William E. Cox, Institute of Parapsychology, Durham, NC. Marv Wolfman is quoted in the letters responses as being "extremely careful not to take his eyes off of Uri" during Geller's presentation in the Marvel offices.
