Title: Supermouse and His First Adventure

Characters: Supermouse (intro & origin); Minerva Churchmouse; Ratface Remba [also once as Rat-Face Remba] and his gang (villains)

Synopsis: Two scientists create a liquid distillate of lightning, thunder, concentrated sun atoms, and a teaspoon of sugar. Later, a mouse dunks his cheese in the liquid before eating it. He discovers he can fly and has super-strength. He decides to dedicate his powers to a war on crime -- and cats! Using his super-vision, the mouse locates a costume shop and creates his Supermouse uniform. He turns on the radio and learns that a wealthy young heiress named Minerva Churchmouse has been kidnapped and is being held for $400,000,000.17. Supermouse ultimately captures the gang and recovers the money.

Synopsis: The publishers donated this space, on behalf of the U.S. Savings Bonds and War Stamps campaign, to published a letter from the Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Morgenthau, Jr., encouraging the boys and girls of America to buy at least one 10 cent Savings Stamp each week to help the war effort.
