Simon Bisley - Doom Patrol #42 Cover Original Art (DC, 1991).
The Charles Atlas-inspired Flex Mentallo made his first appearance in
Doom Patrol
#35. Flex was, quite literally, the 90-lb weakling who became a superhero by responding to an ad similar to those that ran for many years in comic books; the character became the grounds for a lawsuit against DC by Charles Atlas. This retro cover was purposely distressed and taped so as to appear as an aged poster or comic book cover from Flex's "glory days." The Biz even signed his name in an "old school" signature box ala Milton Caniff or Bob Kane. The art has an image area of 10" x 15", and, aside from its artistically and intentionally distressed surface, is in otherwise Excellent condition. Add some punch to your portfolio with this superb Bisley portrait of a powerhouse.

Simon Bisley - Psycho Bear Cover Original Art (2001).
Dolly goes to meet her maker at the hands of this gun-totin', bandolier-wearing psycho teddy bear, who seems to have undergone a recent pre-frontal stuffing-otomy. We can't "pin" down the exact useage of this piece, though it was obviously used as a cover (note the largely blank top half), but we will say it's one of the coolest Bisleys we've ever offered. The art measures 12.5" x 21.25" and is in Excellent condition.

Great wholesome fun from the talented folks at Western Publishing!

The artwork measures 11" x 17" and is in Excellent condition, with some very slight discoloration of the mechanical tones.

Ralph Heimdahl - Bugs Bunny Daily Comic Strip Original Art, dated 8-6-51 (Warner Brothers, 1951).
Bugs ain't scared of no "vicious dog" -- and the threat of one certainly isn't going to keep him out of Elmer Fudd's garden. Little does he know that Fudd has a dental disguise up his sleeve. This toothy daily has superb artwork (completely on-model with the cartoon incarnations) by Heimdahl, and a great gag that actually has Fudd coming out the victor for once. The art measures 23" x 7" and was folded between the second and third panels for mailing, but is otherwise in Excellent condition.

After Bugs is tricked out of mooching goodies at Filbert's birthday party, the wascally wabbit retaliates by plundering carrots from Elmer's garden. Snappy inking by Ralph Heimdahl. The image area is 24" x 15.5". The art was cut horizontally between panel tiers one and two, and two and three, and then carefully rejoined; otherwise the art is in Excellent condition.
