Walter Lantz characters fill the pages of the book, consisting of trimmed and bound Western Publishing file copies. Whill all the comics look great, with supple interior pages, both endpages have torn, and the binding has completely, and cleanly, separated from the block of comic books inside. Bill Wilson is in town from Korea, and wants to meet Arlene, the girl who has been writing them all those sweet letters. Although they've never met, Bill is in love with her. But it's not Arlene who's been writing them, it's her roommate, Cora! This tale of pen-pals, and heartbreak was drawn by John Sink. Manny Stallman - First Romance #45 Complete 5-page Story "Happy Ending" Original Art (Harvey, 1957).
The Comics Code had this Manny Stallman melodrama reworked completely. Some of the dialogue corrections have slipped off the pages and the plot changes are mind-blowing! Proof-positive it wasn't just the horror yarns that the Code squashed. The image area of each page is 12" x 18", and aside from the Code changes, the art is in Good condition.
