Famous Funnies Bound Volumes (Eastern Color, 1942-47).
This title had the distinction of being the first comic book series to reach a 100th issue, and that comic is among the issues in these bound volumes. Another highlight here is #102, with a cover featuring Chief Wahoo chasing Hitler, Tojo and Mussolini. And then there's the asset of Buck Rogers appearances in every issue. In all, issues # 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, and 156 are included here. These are Western Publishing file copies which have been trimmed and bound into these two hardcover volumes. The comics were obviously in like-new condition when bound; their condition is absolutely superb for 60-year-old comics, and the page quality and cover gloss beats that of almost any copy you'd find today. Overstreet 2005 VG 4.0 value for group = $648.
