Description
ThunderCats Mumm-Ra Production Cel (Rankin-Bass, c. 1985-89). Chief villain of the iconic 80s animated series ThunderCats, Mumm-Ra makes a grand appearance in this original production cel. Animated by Japanese studio Pacific Animation Corporation and co-produced by Rankin-Bass Animated Entertainment, ThunderCats was a hit series that followed and improved upon the sci-fi/fantasy formula popularized by He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983). Mumm-Ra is the nefarious undead sorcerer bound to the servitude of the godlike entities known as the Ancient Spirits of Evil. His half-figure measures a large and centered 6.75" x 6.5" on the 12 field cel, which bears a production code in the top right and has been placed on a print background for display purposes. An iconic animated 80s villain, this cel is a must-have for any fan of the classic series. With typical studio handling and edge wear including minor fading to the linework and light surface debris, overall this wicked cel is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
