Description
ThunderCats Cheetara and WilyKit Production Cels Group of 2 (Rankin-Bass, c. 1985-89). Pair of rare field hand-painted production cels from this popular American TV series animated in Japan, which ran four seasons plus a made-for-television movie; cartoonist Leonard Starr (Mary Perkins On Stage and Little Orphan Annie were his two biggest comic strips) was the series' head writer. Original production cels from ThunderCats don't come our way often; in fact, Heritage has auctioned only two other cels in the past. These great character cels feature female warrior Cheetara and "thunderkitten" WilyKit, little sister of Wilykat. Cheetara has an approximate image size of 5.25" x 6.5", while WilyKit measures 7.25" x 6.25". Both cels have been placed on print backgrounds for presentation purposes. Overall condition is Very Good to Fine with light handling wear.Auction Info
