Description
ThunderCats "The Garden of Delights" Tygra Production Cel with Animation Drawing (Rankin-Bass/Topcraft, c. 1985-89). "Can't you, can't you talk?" "Uh! W-what would you like to talk about?" Restrained by "mole-like people" after falling into an underground cave system, Tygra is presented here in this splendid original hand-painted production cel from the 1985 hit animated series, ThunderCats. The mole creatures question Tygra about the quakes that have destroyed their homes, only to find he is seeking the same information at around the 3:24 mark of the episode. The striking close-up profile of the tiger-striped hero measures an impressive 5.25" x 7.75", filling the left half of the 12 field cel. The cel comes paired with its matching original production drawing on 12 field animation paper, rendered in graphite and colored pencils. Both the cel and drawing include the production code D-15 END in the upper right corner. The lot shows light handling wear from production and professional restoration to some of the cel's linework.
