Description
ThunderCats Cheetara and Tygra Production Cel (Rankin/Bass Productions, c. 1985-89). From the hit science fantasy animated series ThunderCats, presented is a fantastic hand-painted original production cel featuring the heroes Cheetara and Tygra. Produced by Rankin/Bass Productions (best known for their stop-motion animated holiday specials Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming to Town), ThunderCats follows the adventures of a team of catlike humanoids in their battles against the evil Mumm-Ra. The series was famously animated by Topcraft/Pacific Animation Corporation, whose members would eventually join the prestigious Studio Ghibli. The 12 field cel is numbered C12 in the upper right corner, and it is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. Minor studio handling and edge wear with light taping at the top edge, and the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
