Description
Basil Gogos The Spook Who Sat By The Door Movie Poster Illustration Painting Original Art (Bokari/United Artists, 1973). The legendary horror illustrator Basil Gogos provided this fantastic and action-packed painting for the movie poster of this film featuring a disillusioned CIA agent turning against the organization for political and moral reasons. The image area of this gouache piece measures approximately 32" x 18.5" on the 40" x 27.25" illustration board. Gogos signed in the image area. The piece has some tanning, with production tape, and glue residue where a paste-up text block is missing. There are a couple of pencil marks in the margins, and edge/corner wear on the board; however overall this is in Very Good condition.More information about Basil Gogos. See also: Gogos, Basil Artist.
