Description
Clark Ashton Smith Spells and Philtres and The Abominations of Yondo Unused Dust Jackets Group of 2 (Arkham House, 1958-60). A pair of unused jackets for collections of Smith's poetry and weird fiction stories. Only 519 copies of Spells and Philtres were published, making it one of the rarest Arkham editions (it is ranked #7 on the Arkham House Books: Collector's Guide scarcity list). Cover art by Frank Utpatel and Ronald Clyne, respectively. Spells is in Fine condition with some toning and small stains; Abominations is in As New condition.From the Howard Lowery Collection.
