Blackfire's first full appearance immediately commands respect, presenting the firstborn princess of Tamaran in full regalia while she commands a fleet of Gordanian slave ships. Fueled by revenge and jilted from her rightful place on the throne, Komand'r has come streaking into our solar system bent on capturing and breaking her sister Starfire. Though this is only her beginning, this page started a dynamic that continued to make waves throughout the lives of the Titans and marked a stepping stone to solidifying the legacy of Pérez's masterful storytelling. Ink over graphite on two DC Comics Bristol boards with a combined image area of 21.75" x 15". Slight toning, whiteout corrections, blue pencil editorial marks, an original text paste-up for the credits, small areas of tape pull in the bottom margins, and light spot stains/residue. In Very Good condition.A portion of the proceeds from this auction will benefit The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) and the Hero Initiative.
