Description

Pokémon Japanese Topsun Set Group of 2 PSA Graded Trading Card Game (Topsun, 1995) Blue Back, No Number. Before being released by Wizards of the Coast in the United States, Pokémon was already a phenomenon in Japan. Topsun cards, one of the earliest examples of Pokémon characters on cards, came inside packages containing two pieces of bubble gum and two cards. The packs were used as a promotional product in Japan to see if people would collect cards with Pokémon on them. I guess we know the answer to that! Offered in this lot is a group of 2 cards from the Blue Back No Number version, meaning they're from the first printed version from the set. Both have been graded by PSA and include Squirtle (Mint 9) and Wartortle (NM-MT 8). Please note that it has been determined that these types of products were originally distributed in 1997 and not 1995.
