Description
Todd McFarlane's Spawn Spawn Production Cel and Animation Drawing (HBO, c. 1997-99). The grim antihero Spawn is featured front and center of this lot with a chilling hand-painted production cel from Todd McFarlane's Spawn. Acclaimed for its dark art direction, sharp animation, and dramatic voice acting featuring Keith David in the lead role, this memorable animated show has built a loyal cult following since its 1997 premiere. Featuring an emblematic image of our eponymous character, with his face in shadow and eyes glowing green, this 12-field cel shows Spawn measuring 10.25" x 7.75", on a printed background for presentation purposes. Additionally, the lot includes the matching animation drawing, rendering the gritty character in graphite and color pencils. Overall, the lot presents light handling and edge wear from production. The animation drawing is in Good condition, presenting paint residue, a fold crease on the bottom left, and surface scuffing.
