Æon Flux CD-Rom Commercial Demiruge Cel Production Cel Group of 2, Æon Flux Production Cel Sequence of 3 Signed by Peter Chung with 24" Pan Key Master Background (MTV Animation, 1996). Æon Flux swiftly dodges bullets in this lot, featuring a sequence of three hand-painted production cels signed by her creator, Peter Chung, and featured on the Key Master background from the incredible commercial for the never-finalized video game adaptation. Famously animated in collaboration with the renowned anime studio Madhouse, this production featured the talents of Takeshi Koike, known for his movie Redline, and Yoshinori Kanemori, chief animator director in Pluto. Two of the cels can be seen starting at the 0:12 timestamp as she dive rolls to avoid bullets, measuring figure sizes of 8" x 7.5" and 6.25" x 4.5", also showing the floor, yellow bullet sparks, and smoke effects, with the third one appearing at about the 0:15, as the floor crumbles, with the character measuring 6.25" x 5", with the three of them showing Chung's signature in the bottom area. The Key Master background for the first two cels is rendered in gouache on a 24" x 12" background board, showing an overlay for the wall, and cels for the Breen Soldiers and the head of the Demiurge. Included is a second two-layer production cel with the Demiruge's head and fire around it. The cels are taped to the background with archival artist tape. The layers showing the smoke are glued to the cel. Overall, the lot is in Very Good condition with light handling and edge wear from production.From the Personal Archive of Æon Flux Director Peter Chung.
