Description

Steve Sadowski and others JSA #25 Double Splash Pages 36-37 Original Art (DC, 2001). This two-page splash was the end of the three-part "The Return of Hawkman" story arc. This entire series, titled simply JSA, is regarded by many as the best treatment these Golden Age characters have ever gotten from DC Comics. Focused on legacy and generational heroism, the series blended Golden Age icons with their Modern Age counterparts to form a team that spanned eras. There were four inkers on this project, so it is unclear which of them did or did not work on this splash. The inkers listed are Michael Bair, David Meikis, Paul Neary, and Rob Leigh. Created in ink over graphite on two sheets of Bristol board with a combined image area of 20" x 15.5". Matted with a 13" x 10" watercolored print of the linework. Glass-front framed to 27" x 34". In Excellent condition.
