Action Comics #6 (DC, 1938) CGC VG+ 4.5 Cream to off-white pages. This issue's offbeat "guy about to get surprise-smacked by a gorilla" cover, courtesy of Leo E. O'Mealia, is eclipsed only by the fact that the book also features the first appearance of Jimmy Olsen, who's simply referred to as "office boy" in his first outing. Featured story artists include Joe Shuster, Bernard Baily, and Fred Guardineer. This is currently one of Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 VG 4.0 value = $8,500.
