Captain America Comics #1 (Timely, 1941) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. Sensational copy of this super-key issue! It's been nearly two years since we've offered a nicer copy, and in our history we've only offered a handful in this grade or nicer. It's even nicer-looking than CGC's assigned grade according to Quality Evaluation Services, who have approved this copy for the coveted QES sticker! The origin and first appearance of Captain America and Bucky made this an instant classic, and the dynamic cover by Jack Kirby, with Cap socking Adolf Hitler, is one of the most memorable in comic history. It's all that more compelling because the issue hit the newsstands nearly one year before the US even entered World War II! The first appearance of Cap's arch-nemesis, the Red Skull, adds to the importance of this book, which currently ranks #7 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list.
