Description
Angelo Todaro (attributed) and Alberto Giolitti Turok, Son of Stone #100 Story Page 8 Original Art (Western/Gold Key, 1975). First the meat vanishes, then Turok's bow and poison arrows, and suddenly the Lost Valley feels a lot smaller. A Pteranodon accounts for the missing provisions, but the stolen weapon is far more dangerous, as the thief is ready to turn Turok's own bow on him and Andar on this page from "Don't Give Up", from the milestone 100th issue.Only Alberto Giolitti received the art credit, but Angelo Todaro later said Giolitti eventually brought him onto Turok penciling duties after they'd worked together on Star Trek, and Todaro was among the many artists who passed through Giolitti's large Italian studio. Though Page 9 is notated in the top margin, this page appeared as Story Page 8 in the issue. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15". Slight toning, whiteout touch-ups, blue pencil editorial marks, and light handling wear. In Excellent condition.
