Thomas M. Baxa Magic: The Gathering Wrath of God Illustration Original Preliminary Artwork (2020). Thomas M. Baxa is an American artist known for his stunning and haunting fantasy artwork. Baxa has been providing illustrations for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game since the Tempest set. His artwork often includes zombies and other creatures for black cards. Baxa has also done pieces for Dungeons & Dragons, World of Warcraft, Universal Pictures, and many more. For the 2020 Double Masters set, the Sorcery card Wrath of God received a reprint with new artwork done by Thomas M. Baxa. Offered in this lot is the preliminary artwork done by Baxa for this card! Rendered in oils on hardboard, this stunning piece depicts a scene of true destruction. Baxa's signature, dated 2020, can be seen at the right edge. The piece measures approximately 10" x 8" and has light wear. The overall condition is Excellent. A certificate of authenticity issued by Baxa is included.Auction Info
